4. Treadwell Cuisine (Niagara-on-the-Lake)

Farm to table, all Ontario ingredients. The wine list is the best in the region. Tasting menu CAD 110 with optional pairing CAD 75.

5. Wildflower Restaurant & Lounge (Marriott Fallsview)

21st floor, the Marriott's flagship. Steak and Ontario seafood. Sunday brunch CAD 65 with bottomless mimosa CAD 25.

6. Massimo's Italian Fallsview (Sheraton)

Authentic Italian on the 14th floor with fallsview tables. Pasta CAD 28 to 38, secondi CAD 38 to 65. Family friendly.

7. Tide & Vine Oyster House

The best raw bar in the region, a bit off Clifton Hill. East and West coast oysters CAD 4 each. Lobster roll CAD 32.

8. Peller Estates Winery Restaurant (Niagara-on-the-Lake)

9. The Smokin' Buddha (Port Colborne)

Off the beaten path, 30 minute drive south. Pan Asian fusion in a former CN train station. Mains CAD 22 to 32. The best non touristy meal in the region.

10. The Old Stone Inn Boutique Hotel restaurant

Historic Tudor style inn with farm to table dinner. Less view, more atmosphere. Mains CAD 32 to 48.
